Elk's Lodges Statewide have adopted the Coupons For Troops Program as part of the Americanism Program, beginning September 2007.
The Coupons For Troops Program deals with sending manufacturer's coupons to the bases overseas. The military personal can redeem the coupons at the bases to help defray their high costs of living. Manufacturer's have agreed to redeem the coupons with disregard to the expiration dates. The coupons may be expired up to six months and still be honored for redemption value by the manufacturer's. Each base has an office and personal assigned to receive the coupons. Baby, infant and toddler coupons are highest in demand.
Elk's Lodges by District have been given two bases to support in this program.
