Bay Cliff Summer Camp

Bay Cliff Summer Camp
July 26, 2008

Saturday found us at the Bay Cliff Summer Camp where we were given a tour of the camp and shown all the improvements that have been done to the buildings and grounds. The tours are given by the older teens and some counselors. Vi and I walked down to Lake Superior to work up an appetite for lunch. At lunch we sat with two young men campers and  their counselor. There were three Major Projects Commissioners there and the three State Presidents; 2nd Vice  President, Tom Bianco, 1st Vice President, Kevin Quin, and State President, Fred  Dill. None of these people were introduced. After lunch we were treated to a musical program and a realization of some of the campers goals for the summer.

We were treated to a UP favorite  food "cudighi" and burgers at the Negaunee Lodge #1116. Then we moved on to Ispheming Lodge #447 for dessert. All in all, it was a great week-end,starting at Marquette Lodge #405 for dinner on Friday night. They also had their "Christmas in July" party to get toys and other supplies for Bay Cliff. We would like to thank Marquette Lodge, Negaunee Lodge, and Ispheming Lodge for their great hospitality and friendship. We always enjoy visiting their Lodges.
